5/30/2023 0 Comments Fascism by Madeleine K. Albright![]() Fascism, as Albright shows, not only endured through the course of the twentieth century, but now presents a more virulent threat to international peace and justice than at any time since the end of World War II. In Fascism: A Warning, Madeleine Albright, draws on her own experiences as a child in war-torn Europe and her distinguished career as a diplomat to question that very assumption. Given the horrors of that experience, one might expect the world to reject the spiritual successors to Hitler and Mussolini should they arise in our era. ![]() ![]() ![]() "There is priceless wisdom on every page." These authors working as a duo is pure magic. I have swooned, sighed, smiled, laughed out loud and celebrated for these characters. ![]() I have loved every page of my Wes/Jamie/Blake/Jessie journey. Each other’s happiness is all that is important and they will both do whatever it takes for the other’s dreams to come true, no matter what they might be. No matter what comes their way, though, these two will handle it. Jamie loves coaching and his team is doing fantastic. Wes’s hockey career is continuing to sky rocket. And of course, some Blake antics are included. I loved that in Epic, we even get a little more of Blake and Jess. Good Boy includes Wes and Jamie’s wedding and also Blake and Jessie’s story which was fantastic. I want to say, here, that I am so very glad I read Good Boy after Us and before Epic so I could get everything happening in order. Evgeny Zamyatin’s We (1920–1921) was the first work banned by the Soviet censorship board, Andrei Platonov’s The Foundation Pit (1929–1930) met a similar fate just nine years later, and both writers suffered extreme marginalization afterward.
